Anthony Smith is accused of nearly running a man down with his car before threatening him with pepper spray

Twenty-eight-year-old Anthony Jasangas Chun Smith Jr. was arrested and is facing two charges of Aggravated Assault with a Special Allegation of Possession and Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony and Harassment. 

According to a magistrate's complaint, on Sept. 13, Smith allegedly yelled and cursed at a man walking by his car at Ypao Beach. The man alleged that as he walked by again, Smith continued to yell and then abruptly reached into his vehicle. The man fled thinking Smith might have been reaching for a weapon. 

As the man was walking home, he said Smith drove directly towards him, forcing him to jump out of the way to avoid getting struck. Smith then allegedly stopped and pulled out a can of pepper spray, pointing it at the victim.
