Camacho/Ada camp criticized by opposition for shunning debates
The Lou Leon Guerrero/Josh Tenorio campaign team is calling-out rival gubernatorial candidates Felix Camacho and Tony Ada for declining several recent debate invitations. In a news release, Campaign manager Rory Respicio criticized the opposing side, saying, "Elected leaders are responsible to everyone, not just the people or organizations they like."
The release notes that Camacho, a former Guam governor, has turned down debates arranged by CHamoru speakers, women in business, and the island's media. Respicio goes on to say that Lou and Josh are "ready and eager to meet them" if their opponents change their minds.
However, he said, "if they persist in dictating who counts and who gets counted out, we will not share any future state with them."
KUAM News reached out to the Camacho-Ada team, but they declined comment.
