Two people in Saipan escaped their car before it was completely covered in flames. Over the weekend, a truck caught fire in front of Northern Marianas College at its busy intersection.

When firefighters arrived minutes later, they saw fire burning inside the cabin and under the hood. The it was quickly put out and the pair that escaped the flames were unharmed. 

The exact cause of the car fire is still under investigation.
