Jonathan Mendiola charged for terrorizing, drugs, family violence

A man accused of threatening a woman known to him with a gun is arrested after police find drugs. 40-year-old Jonathon San Agustin Mendiola is charged twice with terrorizing, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, aggravated assault, family violence, and possession of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.

Court documents state his accuser told police Mendiola uses drugs and abuses her. She allegedly told officers he uses knives when they argue and even put a gun to her face.

Police caught Mendiola during a traffic stop. Documents state that’s when they found a glass pipe with meth.

He allegedly admitted to police he did point a bb gun at the victim and used a samurai sword to stab a mattress.

Mendiola also allegedly admitting that when he becomes angry, he does not think straight, adding his meth use is a contributing factor.
