Skate park riot defendant will go to trial

A man accused in the Dededo Skate Park riot that sent another to the hospital will fight his case in the Superior Court of Guam.
Defendant Chesrick Tom appeared before Judge Vernon Perez this week.
Defense attorney Tom Fisher told the court they will take the case to trial arguing his client did nothing wrong.
"He wasn't involved in this incident. and there's no reason for him to plead guilty since he wasn't involved in his own criminal liability. So that was our defense and that's what we're going to prove at trial," he said.
Tom will appear back in court on March 28 to find out when he could have his day in court.
Four co-defendants have since pleaded guilty, admitting to their part in the attack.
