Are you prepared for a tsunami?
More than a dozen Government of Guam workers learning how to be ready for the unexpected.
The Guam National Weather Service hosted a tsunami preparedness training at the Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense in Agana Heights Tuesday.
"Although tsunamis are fairly infrequent, we do see tsunamis roughly at least one year that do result in fatalities somewhere around the world," meteorologist Brandon Aydlett said. "So tsunamis have a potential to be highly devastating so it’s enough of a threat that we need to make sure people in the community are fully aware of the signs and the appropriate actions to take when there is a threat of a tsunami facing us."
