CNMI government owes $200K+ in phone bills to IT&E
Nearly a quarter-million dollars in phone bills are owed to IT&E CNMI by government departments. The CNMI Secretary of Finance Tracy Norita wrote to all agency heads urging their federal programs to pay what’s owed. Norita notes that disputed accounts may need further investigation by IT&E if charges were incorrect.
The CNMI Office of Transit Authority owes the most out of the 70 programs on the list with over $65,000 due. Norita says government offices’ federal programs have until May 31 to clear or dispute the balances or face disconnection.
