The Northern Marianas College on Friday graduated more than 260 people in their 42nd commencement exercise.
"Our enrollment continues to climb. Our graduation rates continue to improve. Our graduates continue to earn more than those without a college degree," NMC President Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero said, addressing concerns over the value of a college degree. "There is nothing more valuable than an education," he added.

Former House lawmaker Tina Sablan delivered the keynote address. "The future of these islands and the future of this planet is in good hands," she said. "In any field you choose, we need you to apply your knowledge and ingenuity, your hearts, your adaptability, and persistence to solve the pressing problems of our day."
The college also graduated its first cohort of engineering students under NMC’s Liberal Arts with an emphasis in pre-engineering degree program.
