Livia Marati has quickly made positive contributions to island wellness. Not just in her approach to advocating for overall health, but also in the impacts for those involved in sports. She told KUAM Sports in anticipation of the second Ina Well Fest on July 29, "For ths year's event, we're covering health from a mental and physical perspective, and I think for athletes, they're able to learn from both of those sides."
Her signature event promises much more to see, do, learn, apply and experience. "Finding these people who are athletes who are active and who do all different types of movement, and ways that they incorporate not only yoga but also the mindfulness and meditation aspects into sports," she added.
And there's strong relevance and notable impacts for athletes looking to take their games to the next level.
Marati continued, "It's one thing to look at body in terms of recovery, and being more flexible and being able to open up your hips and open your shoulders, but also it's helpful when people get interested in learning how they can take the mindset approach. And they get better at taking care of their mind and their focus, how do you stay aware and present."
This capitalizes on expanding your training regimen from physical fitness to mental health and sports psychology. This empower athletes at any level and in any sport a competitive edge.

"Even last year," the founder pointed out, "one of the speakers was a jiujitsu and a yoga teacher combined! This year we have Sean Pangelinan coming out – he's not only a personal trainer, he was an Olympian for Guam."
The experience benefits individual events and team formats – from tennis to paddling to football to triathlons – and from professionals to weekend warriors.
"We are lookin for event volunteers, both for the warmup and for the day of. And it's a really fun event. You get to be the first point of contact in a really exciting and energizing event. So we absolutely looking for volunteers."
And for people who just love being involved with fitness and athletics, you can get involved, too!
Marati guaranteed a fantastic time, saying there are "more breakouts, more vendors, more to do – and this year, they're getting all of that!"
