A man will spend a decade in prison for raping a woman in her Hagat home.

Paris Christian Reyes Sharpe was given the maximum sentence -- 10 years with the possibility of parole.

He appeared before Judge Vernon Perez in Superior Court today. 

Sharpe expressed his remorse to the court, stating, “I’ve had time to review my criminal past and my addiction and I want to help reach those in the struggle.”

A jury convicted Sharpe of third-degree criminal sexual conduct back in June. 

The victim told police she was walking out of her bathroom when Sharpe grabbed her from behind and raped her.
