Two people were rushed to area hospitals following an early morning car crash.

It happened around 3 am along Route 1 Marine Corps Drive in front of 76 gas station in Anigua.

Units with the Guam Fire Department had to use the jaws of life to extract a woman who was driving a white Kia Sportage and a man who was behind the wheel of a silver Mitsubishi outlander.

Both were responsive at the scene.

The man was taken to Naval Hospital after suffering serious injuries, according to GFD spokesperson Nick Garrido.

His condition remains unknown.

The woman was treated for her injuries at the Guam Memorial Hospital and has since been released.

The Guam Police Department has yet to release any information on the crash investigation.
