Guam police to conduct DWI sobriety checkpoints Friday

The community is being given a heads up and a reminder to avoid drinking and driving, and to get a designated driver.
Officers with the Guam Police Department’s Highway Patrol Division will be conducting DWI sobriety checkpoints starting at 6pm Friday.
Checkpoints will be set up at various locations along Route 1 from Yigo to Tamuning, Route 14 in Tumon, Route 4 from Hagatna to Chalan Pago, and Route 10 in Mangilao.
Police also issued a reminder for all to wear your seatbelts, stay aware of your surroundings on the road, and watch your speed.
