Hundreds of island residents came out to the UOG Calvo Fieldhouse
Many came out to the 2023 Relay for Life at the UOG Calvo Fieldhouse on Saturday.
The weekend event kicked off with a survivors motorcade and followed with five hours of island residents, GovGuam agencies, teams, and businesses walking laps for those we have lost to cancer, honoring those who have beaten this enemy and supporting those who are currently enduring treatment for cancer.
The theme for this year was 'Hope' and the relay for life started with survivors taking a lap, followed by participating relay teams and sponsors.
The event also featured activities, games, screenings, and educational booths for everyone to take part in.
The evening concluded with the luminaria ceremony. Those in attendance were able to witness the luminous display of lights, a representation of our love and respect for those who have battled cancer.
