Officials with the Department of Public Health and Social Services accused in a government of Guam corruption case renewed their request to disqualify the presiding judge.

Public Health Director Art San Agustin and Chief Health inspector Masatomo Nadeau appeared before Judge John Terlaje in Superior Court Friday.

The pair stand accused of tampering with public records in connection to inspections that prosecutors allege never happened at certain Guam Department of Education schools.

The co-defendants want the court to disqualify Presiding Judge Alberto Lamorena from the case.

This comes after Justices in the Supreme Court of Guam reversed Judge Alberto Tolentino's denial to disqualify Lamorena.

Judge Terlaje is mulling over his decision.

Parties are scheduled to appear back in court on Tuesday.
