An illegal dump near a popular tourist spot is cleaned up and the culprit is caught after apparently leaving her personal information at the scene.
Park police cited a woman for littering along the entrance of Two Lover's Point after authorities sifted through the trash she left behind and found documents with her name and address.
The woman, who was not identified, allegedly admitted to throwing trash because the dump was closed.
The Governor's office today did release these photos, highlighting Department of Public Works (DPW) maintenance crews for clearing the illegal dump site.
The public is reminded that anyone caught dumping illegally could face fines of up to $1,000 per day per violation, along with costs to clean up.
