Guam International Airport Authority passenger caught with cocaine

A passenger who arrived on a flight from Honolulu Wednesday night is under arrest after being caught with drugs.
Twenty-six-year-old Everline Vargas-Sandoval is charged with importation of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance on board an aircraft arriving in Guam, and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
Court documents state Customs agents inspected her bag when officers found two plastic straws and a resealable bag with cocaine.
The items were each concealed in the defendant’s jeans inside her baggage.
Vargas-Sandoval initially allegedly denied owning the drugs, before later admitting to owning it.
