More help is pouring in for the family of the Korean tourist who was shot and killed during a robbery on Jan. 4.

Lotte Duty Free CEO Jae Jun Lee presented an $8,000 donation to GVB Vice-President Gerry Perez today.

Lee said, “We're very much a part of our community, we feel very sorry about the loss, and even our HQ felt the same so we have decided to support some of our donation to GVB and the family and we are very grateful that GVB is trying to do their very best to make our place safe again, and we have a very big interest, so that's why we're here.”

Perez shared, “When that thing happened that was a major, major blow to our marketing message because our marketing message rightly or wrongly creates expectations in the minds of customers when they come here…And so GVB has coalesced a lot of people in the community to come up and to do as much as we can to help catch the perpetrator, which was successful, but more importantly to assist as much as possible financially and otherwise, with the family who had suffered a devastating loss.”

The alleged get-away driver, 26-year-old Stefen Keanu Camacho was indicted Friday.

The alleged shooter, Keoki Santos, died by suicide.

Meanwhile, a task force is working on beefing up security in the Tumon tourist district.
