Two boys rescued in waters off Asan beach

Two young boys, ages 8 and 13, were rescued by units with the Guam Fire Department (GFD) in Asan early this afternoon with one needing CPR.
According to GFD Spokesperson Lt. Nick Garrido, the call came in at 2:24 p.m. for a pair of distressed swimmers in the waters across the old Harley Davidson.
The GFD rescue boat was able to locate the 13-year-old and bring him aboard. He did not require any medical attention.
GFD rescue watercraft also located the 8-year-old. He was taken to Naval Hospital as medics performed CPR.
His condition is unknown at this time.We should note there is a high risk of rip currents through this evening.
