Marking his first ever visit, the 17th Sgt. Major of the Army SMA Michael Weimer, stepped foot on our island along with several other military leaders and soldiers.
Taking time to see the soldiers of Talon Task Force Guam, Sgt. Maj. Weimer listened to concerns and addressed questions in the field and encouraged troops to stay ready.
He also expressed the need to defend Guam in a way that balances the needs of the community and the environment.
In 2009, the 13th Sgt. Major of the Army, Kenneth Preston, also visited our island, spending the day visiting various components of the Guard and the Army Reserve Center.
