The U.S. Air Force Secretary is visiting the Marianas for the first time. 

Secretary Frank Kendall Secretary visited Guam, Saipan, and Tinian on Thursday. Over in the Northern Marianas, Kendall met with Governor Arnold Palacios, Lt. Governor David Apatang, Commonwealth Ports Authority Board chairperson Joe Ayuyu, and CPA Executive Director Leo B. Tudela.

They discussed  Air Force activities in the CNMI such as the divert airfield on Tinian.

This is Kendall’s first visit to the Northern Marianas as military training and projects ramp up in the region.
