Seventh cruise ship of the year sails into Guam

The Port Authority of Guam welcomed its seventh passenger vessel of the year with the arrival of the Carnival Luminosa this morning.
The Carnival Luminosa docked at the Port Authority of Guam at 7:50 a.m. with 1,948 passengers and 946 crew members. The cruise ship will depart the port this evening at 5 p.m., giving passengers time to visit the island of Guam and take part in numerous activities.
Port General Manager Rory J. Respicio said, “The arrival of 2,894 passengers and crew members from the Carnival Luminosa is a boost to Guam’s tourism industry and highlights Guam as a premiere luxury cruise destination. The Carnival Luminosa’s arrival marks the seventh cruise ship to visit in 2024 and we are tracking many more cruise ships to arrive this year.”
Respicio added that the arrival of the Carnival Luminosa and other premier cruise ships underscores the Port of Guam’s role in our local and regional economies, aligning with Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio’s vision for the Port of Guam.
Other potential cruise ship visits to Guam this year include the Seabourn on May 14 and Sept. 7, the Le Soleal on Oct. 8, the Carnival on Oct. 22, and the MS Asuka II on Dec. 30.
