Juan Salas reported missing on Saipan
Sixty-five-year-old Juan S. Salas is reported missing.
The CNMI Department Of Public Safety has set up a command post at Suicide Cliff on Saipan in their efforts to find a 65-year-old man reported missing.
Authorities are searching for Juan Salas after his car was found parked near Suicide Cliff.
The search continued into the afternoon in the Marpi area.
Authorities said Salas was last seen on May 1st around 7:30 a.m. at his Gualo Rai home.
He was last seen wearing a shirt, black jean shorts, and black slippers.
Acting DPS Commissioner Anthony Macaranas said, “DPS along with other agencies are actively canvassing the Suicide Cliff area. The missing person’s vehicle was found here parked. I have requested additional assistance from the mayor’s office, Customs Biosecurity, ABTC and HSEM. We ask that those who want to assist with the search proceed to our DPS command post for accountability purpose. We ask that volunteers check in with our post so that to avoid any incidents of injury or getting lost while assisting in the search. We also ask that other agencies that want to assist, to also check-in at the command post.”
