A late night phone call to authorities lands a mother drug possession and child abuse charges.

Forty-seven-year-old Maria Cynthia Parducho Valdes is charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance as a third-degree felony and child abuse and family violence as misdemeanors.

The magistrate complaint states a member of Valdes’ household notified authorities of alleged abuse taking place on a one-year-old boy.

The complainant who called police also allegedly said Valdes smokes methamphetamine in the presence of the one-year old.
