Efforts to enhance cybersecurity on Guam are ongoing.

The administration announcing its cybersecurity initiative continues with an innovative readiness training event led by the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 51st Network Operations Squadron.

It's hosted by the Guam Office of Technology.

Adelup stating more than 20 cybersecurity professionals from across the Department of Defense, Guam Homeland Security, and the Community Defense Liaison Office are working to enhance the cyber defense capacity in the territory. 

The event offered best practices and implementation of asset management and network infrastructure capacity, policies for system access control, change management, incident response aligned with the national institute of standards and technology, and more.

Acting Governor Josh Tenorio says, “This partnership to enhance Guam’s cyber security capabilities is key to ensuring the protection of our critical information technology infrastructure and speaks to the ongoing collaboration between our agencies and the Department of Defense."
