Flags are flying high once again for Pride Month this June!

Some even keep themselves down to earth like the little flags lining the front lawn at the Guam Congress building in Hagatna.

But that’s not all as there’s also been some prismatic new decor put up at the Governor’s Complex in Adelup.

The colorful display on the front lawn of the Governor's office is all thanks to a donation by Equality Guam.

The organization's Vice President, Christian Camacho, even shared some words during a proclamation event held at the start of the celebration.

“The LGBTQ community would not be what it is today if it was not for the queer people of color and Black and Latino trans women and men who fought for our rights all those years ago and I would like to give them that recognition,” said Camacho.

Now midway into June, multiple spots around the island are showing pride just the same and embellishing with some rainbow accents.

This year, Adelup even added color to its displays for diversity by putting up the 26 donated progressive pride flags to not only showcase solidarity for the LGBTQ+ community but all the spectrums of people that fall within it as well.

In the words of President of Equality Guam, Jay Sanchez, pride encapsulates the accepting and welcoming nature of the true Hafa Adai spirit.
