While June is coming to a close, the folks with Equality Guam far from celebrating pride month.

“Unity in Diversity” is the Pride Forum set for this Thursday at the Guam Museum.

“So for this year’s Pride Forum, what we're hoping to do is to facilitate the space to provide these LGBTQIA+ members the opportunity to speak candidly about their experiences and what knowledge they can provide,” said Equality Guam PR Manager Calen Michel Meno.

Meno said it's an important discussion for all.

Hosted by local influencer Mama Char, the forum will include two panels touching on the legality, policy, and education of pride, along with social, family, and community aspects.

“We have attorneys, we have educators, a school principal, and we have community leaders,” Meno added.

As Equality Guam collaborates with GALA, Sisters of the Moonlight, and House of Diosa, they will also be hosting a slew of other pride-related events throughout this last weekend of June.

“Oh my gosh just come to them all like this whole weekend, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. We're really going out with a bang for pride,” she said.

With these last few days of pride month steadily approaching, Meno would like to remind the island to, “Love yourself so you can love the world and everything will be merry and bright.”

The forum is open to the public and will be held at the Guam Museum tomorrow, June 27, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
