Imminent Unlimited is taking the wheels to provide car enthusiasts with a safe space to meet at Paseo Takeover.

Co-owner Isabella Salcepuedes highlighted what Paseo Takeover has to offer and the firm’s vision behind the monthly car meet.

“We like to tap into many things so basically anything you can think of we’re probably there,” said Salcepuedes.

She said that Imminent’s goal is to put forward events that cater to the diverse hobbies among island residents.

“Paseo Takeover is a sanctioned car meet. What we wanted to do with it working alongside Lieutenant Governor and Parks and Rec’s was create a safe and controlled area for car enthusiasts to come on down and do what they love to do,” she added.

And there’s a reason why the event is held every last Saturday of the month.

“With it being once a month it gives them that whole time frame to prepare their cars and shine it as nice as it can be, buy the parts they want, give it enough time for it to come in and bring it outside to showcase it for other people to come in,” she said.

She added the main events of the night are their competitions which include lower limbo, sound offs, and more.

“We used to be able to do burnouts. Unfortunately, we’re not doing that anymore because we wanted to preserve the area,” she said.

You may recall, Paseo Park stopped hosting these events due to violent activity occurring during car meets in previous years.

Now, Imminent alongside their sponsors are working toward uniting automotive groups in promoting a safe environment and preserving the park’s amenities.

You can join festivities this Saturday, June 29 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
