Veterans, their families and survivors were able to speak with benefits counselors at Hilton Guam Resort and Spa Friday for a 2-day PACT Act workshop.
Honolulu VA Regional Office Director Stacey Bonnett tells us representatives from Hawaii and Guam were onsite to answer questions about their benefits eligibility.

“We’re here today helping veterans file claims for disability benefits, those that relate to the PACT Act and those that might be unrelated to the PACT Act. We also have representatives here with us from Loan Guarantee. So if veterans have questions about their VA home loan, they can come down and see us about that as well too,” said Bonnett. “We also have representatives from the Vet Center, as well as VHA. So if veterans have questions about eligibility for medical treatment, they can come down and get those questions answered, as well”.

The workshop will offer information on the PACT Act, a law that expanded health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances.

Veterans can also learn about VA Home Loan Benefits, register for medical benefits and file a claim.

If you missed out today, you can catch the workshop tomorrow from 9am to 12pm.
