Judiciary to commemorate 50th anniversary of Court Reorganization Act

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Court Reorganization Act, the Judiciary is hosting a series of events this week including an education summit, robbin cutting, opening of a time capsule, and more.
The Court Reorganization Act of 1974 established the Superior Court of Guam as well as the first Supreme Court of Guam, laying the foundation for an independent judicial branch.

Guam Law Library Legal Education Summit

Attorneys will have the opportunity to earn Continuing Legal Education Credits from distinguished jurists and legal scholars, including Judge J. Michelle Childs from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit; Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo of the Philippine Supreme Court; Chief Justice Steven C. González of the Washington State Supreme Court; Benes Z. Aldana, President of the National Judicial College; and Thomas Leighton, Vice President of Thompson Reuters.
