The latest fentanyl related investigation is ongoing.

This after a woman had overdosed on the drug while in police custody.

Late Friday, Guam Police confirmed the woman remains in the hospital, adding she is conscious and being watched by officers.

The incident happened Wednesday morning at the Tumon Police Precinct.

Officers pulled over a car and took three people into custody.

One suspect was later found unconscious and convulsing inside the interview room before authorities used two doses of Narcan.

Attorney General Doug Moylan says he is aware fentanyl is a growing problem on island.

"Obviously just breathing it in can be deadly so the individual may have taken it right before she was arrested. So that’s the nature of the drug industry. We have been concerned. Senators have shown the government is concerned because they’ve got the funding and the system set up," he explained.

"The fentanyl is something that somebody takes that is usually in the drug world and those drug dealers are putting in their drugs that are killing people who are buying it. So my message at the AG, those of you who are taking meth are going to die one way or the other either the addiction that occurs or the fact that you are going to be given a drug that is poison. You think you are going to get your high – then you are never going to wake up."

The suspects' names were not immediately available.
