Team Guam brought our Hafa Adai spirit to Northern France, and shared our island pride with the world, as our contingent of 8 exceptional athletes showed the world who we are in Paris in the Parade of Nations. We arrived on the River Seine aboard a boat shared with the Olympic delegations from Grenada and Guatemala.
And as part of a new tradition, we used two flag-bearers to fly the Great Seal of Guam for all to see, as wrestler Rckaela Aquino and track sprinter Joseph Green were up-front as our flag-bearers.
Pins were traded and friendships were made...and now it’s go-time.
