Guam Women's Chamber of Commerce's Fanachu Famalao'an 2024 theme is 'ElevateHER'

Fanachu Famalåo’an is Guam's highly anticipated annual Women in Business Summit. It returns on Sept. 19 at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort. 

The 2024 event hosted by the Guam Women's Chamber of Commerce is appropriately themed- “ElevateHER” and looks to empower and motivate women entrepreneurs and professionals across the island.

ElevateHER 2024 promises a dynamic and enriching experience, featuring a powerhouse keynote speaker, an impressive lineup of masterclasses, and engaging panel discussions. Keynote speaker in 2024 is Madalene Mielke, President and CEO of the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, a nationally recognized civil rights leader and a member of USA Today’s inaugural leaders of change.

“My why is that I like to be able to work with people to give them opportunities to elevate our community whether it's Asian American, LatinX, African American, LGTBQ+, any of our marginalized communities that need a voice. I've been very fortunate to be given skills and resources and help them so they can elevate themselves and uplift one another,” said Mielke. 

For many years, she has contributed countless hours of her personal time mentoring, training, and providing opportunities for new leaders , especially for young women, through the women’s information network.
