What should have been a brief visit to the store around the corner turning into the disappearance of one Yigo resident.

28-year-old Otenis Luke Erwin is now missing for almost six days, leaving his loved ones desperate for answers.

“I hope you’re okay–wherever you’re at. Just please come home because we’re all so worried,” said Erwin’s niece.

Erwin’s niece hoped that message would reach her uncle.

She told KUAM he was last seen walking from his home near Yigo back gate to Hello Mart around 3 p.m. last Saturday, only to never return.

“He has a phone and we’ve called many times, left many messages, but we still haven’t gotten anything back–and it’s not like him to go days without contact,” she said.

The family filed a missing person’s report at the Guam Police Department’s Yigo Precinct on Wednesday, praying authorities could help track down their family member.

“We’re just very worried and kind of frustrated because we don’t know anything–we don’t know if he’s okay, we don’t know where he’s at. And my auntie filed a police report and they said they couldn’t do anything until it’s more than one week, and that kind of hurts because us, as his family, we already know he’s not okay or something happened… cause… oh god I’m so sorry,” she added.

GPD Spokesperson Berlyn Savella confirmed an all-persons-bulletin has been broadcasted with all precincts, and further follow-ups are underway.

Meantime, Erwin's niece urges the community to keep an out for her uncle.

“If anybody out there knows what happened, we would greatly appreciate it if they called the numbers we put on our Facebook and Instagram pages,” she said.

Otenis Luke Erwin is described as 5'5" tall, weighing 185 pounds, with black hair. He has a distinctive teardrop tattoo under his right eye and a tribal tattoo on his right leg. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and slippers.

Anyone with information on Erwin's whereabouts is asked to call Guam police.
