Game room robber gets seven years in prison

A man who admitted to his role in multiple armed robberies reported at local game rooms learned his fate in Superior Court.

Thirty-year-old Ryan Jay Cruz was sentenced to seven years in the Department of Corrections prison.

He appeared before Presiding Judge Alberto Lamorena Friday morning.

Cruz apologized for his crime after he pleaded guilty to charges of robbery and theft of property.

He was ordered to stay away from the game rooms he targeted back in 2022 and 2023.

Cruz will also serve five years’ parole.
