Man charged in burglary at Guam International Golf Club
From a small gas generator to phones and keys, one man is charged for his alleged involvement in a burglary at the Guam International Golf Club in Dededo.
Matthew Joaquin Brown, 42, is charged twice for burglary as second-degree felonies and theft and property and attempted theft of property as misdemeanors.
Court documents state police responded to a burglary in progress. Police noted they recognized Brown from previous encounters.
Brown then allegedly barricaded himself in a room and made an attempt to flee the establishment. He was then found in the basement of the building.
Staff present made a note that their company car’s battery, a small gas generator, a phone, and keys were missing.
In an interview with Brown allegedly told police he was “extremely very high” on meth and denied having a plan with any of the items.
When asked about the car battery, Brown said he “remembered doing something like that.”
