An update and correction on a story we brought you on Primetime Thursday.
A local charter school teacher accused of molesting a student in the classroom is released from prison.
A Superior Court magistrate judge released thirty-four-year-old Dominic Jerome Leon Guerrero on $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
He is charged with possession of child pornography and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Court documents state the teen told police the alleged encounters occurred between January and May of this year.
Leon Guerrero allegedly exchanged explicit images with the child using the app: Snapchat.
He allegedly admitted to police that he molested the student, adding he knew it was wrong.
Prosecutors note he faces a maximum of 18 years in prison, if convicted.
It was previously reported the defendant worked at a Guam Department of Education high school.
Officials later confirmed he was employed at a charter school in Tiyan.
Our sincere apologies to the high school staff, parents and students for the error.
