The Northern Marianas is also in preparation mode as the tropical storm is expected to pass through the Marianas on Wednesday.

“We are just doing what we can, informing our people to be as prepared as they can and to secure any loose items. and of course it is always better to be prepared for any disaster as it is always going to be in their best interest to do so,” said Rota Mayor, Aubry Hocog.
Rota residents are preparing for tropical storm conditions.

“I believe the hospital is good to go. My office and DPS are good to go. We're going to have our DPW team go out and inspect, make sure all the generators are fully restocked and replenished with diesel, and which is really going to be on standby. We've identified our team if a command center needs to be activated. So we're getting things ready, prepared on our end,” said Hocog.
Residents on Saipan are also preparing for the heavy rain and wind.

“And we're not out of this yet. We're still in the disturbance area with the wind,” said Franklin Babauta, CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Special Assistant.

CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management reminds the community to be prepared and communicate plans with loved ones.

“Making sure that your family is okay and understands what's coming and secure your windows. And, for example, the rain, there's a lot of rain coming. So we want to secure windows and doors so your house doesn't get any rainfall inside of it. And as Invest 95W passes to the Marianas, we want to make sure that you are getting the most recent updates and staying informed from official sources,” said CNMI HSEM PIO, Bernard Villagomez.
