Tropical Depression Bebinca passes Guam

Tropical Depression Bebinca passed over southern Guam just after 4 am Wednesday.

Guam remains in Condition of Readiness 3.

As of 5 am, Bebinca was located 20 miles west-southwest of Guam, moving northwest at 13 mph.

Guam International Airport and Andersen Air Force Base have been reporting winds around 28-35 mph, with gusts around 43 to 50 mph in the very heavy showers.

Saipan's airport winds were around 22 to 26 mph with gusts around 35 to 45 mph in heavier showers.

A flash flood warning is in effect for Guam until 9 am today.

A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan.

Hazardous sea conditions for small craft could continue for another day or two. Mariners are advised to remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe conditions.

Officials note heavy showers and winds will be slow to decrease as a monsoonal pattern.
