Three swimmers rescued after being swept over reef in Tumon

Three people including two children were rescued from the rough waters off Gun Beach in Tumon after being swept over the reef.

First responders with the Guam Fire Department got the call around 11:27 a.m.

Tuesday, according to GFD spokesperson Lt. Nick Garrido.

A 47-year-old man was pulled from the waters and brought to the Hagatna Marina by boat. CPR was performed and the man was rushed to Naval Hospital.

A 10-year-old boy was old also pulled from the water by responders with the Navy's HSC-25 and taken to Naval Hospital.

A 12-year-old boy, who suffered minor injuries, was able to make it back to shore and taken to the Guam Memorial Hospital.

Their conditions have not yet been released.
