Man found guilty of carjacking sentenced to 17 years

Seventeen years behind bars for Timothy Serebour, the man found guilty of carjacking.

On Tuesday, in the Superior Court of Guam,  Serebour appeared before Judge Vernon Perez to hear his fate. 

Twelve years for the carjacking and five years for committing a crime  while on felony release.

As KUAM reported, it was in March, when Serebour and co-actor John Peter Babauta jr. were accused of an armed carjacking at Oka Payless in Tamuning.

In May,  serebour was acquitted of armed carjacking, second-degree robbery, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, and possession of a firearm without a firearm ID.
