It took jurors only 23 minutes of deliberations to find D.J. Tosiuo, guilty of all charges to include, possession of a firearm without a firearm I.D.  as a third-degree felony, possession of an unregistered firearm as a third- degree felony, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; and operation of a motor vehicle without a valid operator's license.

The verdict was read Thursday afternoon in Presiding Judge Alberto Lamorena III's courtroom.

Tosiuo, as you may recall, was on the run from local authorities for weeks. His arrest happened only after Patrick Uncangco, a good samaritan, stepped in and kept him from escaping.

He was arrested in connection to the May shooting in Maite that left a teenage girl injured. Authorities said Tosiuo and others were involved in alleged gang activity.

In a release, Guam Attorney General Doug Moylan said that after Lamorena handed down his sentence,  he will seek Tosiuo’s deportation, never to return to the USA.
