Two recent death investigations have been officially ruled as homicides.

According to Chief of Police, Stephen Ignacio, acting Medical Examiner, Dr. Jeffrey Nine arrived yesterday and was able to conduct the autopsies on both victims.

“I can say in the first case, the deceased victim in the house fire, several persons of interest that were involved in this investigation, were brought in and questioned. But we're continuing to work on that case along with the Attorney General's Office, especially the prosecutor's office,” said Ignacio.

Ignacio said they know the identity of the victim but are working with detectives to see if that name could be released. As KUAM reported, the body of a man was found inside a burning home in Dededo two weeks ago on Chalan Kareta in Dededo.

Then the body of a man in a separate case was found inside a  home on Chalan Donne Street in Yigo.

“We do need to reach out to the community and ask for any information they may have, relative to that case. We do have an identification of the victim, but we've been having difficulty locating a next of kin,” said Ignacio.

Ignacio added that if anyone has any information on any of the cases to please contact GPD dispatch or the Guam Crimestoppers.
