Two children are taken into custody in connection to the threats made at local schools.

Both are 12-year-old boys who are each facing charges of terroristic conduct and destruction of evidence.

Detectives with the Guam Police Department's Juvenile Investigation section located both boys on Monday.

Police said one child allegedly posted on social media that he wanted to "shoot up" Benavente Middle School.

The other child allegedly posted online that he wanted to cause "mass harm to students at FBLG middle school."

The pair are being held at the Department of Youth Affairs.

Guam Police Department Spokesperson Officer Paul Tapao reminds parents to speak with your child about positive decision making skills, and monitor what your child is viewing or posting online.

As KUAM reported, a 16-year-old was arrested on similar charges in connection to threats made last week toward the John F. Kennedy High campus.
