11-year-old girl arrested in violent threat against Astumbo Middle School

An 11-year-old girl is the latest student to be taken into custody following threats made toward a local middle school. 

Officials at Astumbo Middle on  Monday discovered a social media post threatening to shoot up the Dededo campus. 

Investigators said they looked into multiple databases with the help of the Guam Department of Education and tracked down the suspect. 

The child is being held at the Department of Youth Affairs on charges of terroristic conduct, terrorizing and beyond control. 

She is the fourth student arrested in the past week following repeated online violent threats made toward local schools across the island.
