Inmate escapes Department of Corrections

A search is underway for an inmate who escaped from the Department of Corrections facility in Mangilao early Friday morning.  

27-year old Gregory Thomas Bernardo escaped from the Post 25 dome units at the Mangilao compound.

He is described as being 5'4", weighing about 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. According to court documents, he was arrested in February of last year for several robberies throughout the island.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police.
