Elderly man found dead on Saipan

An elderly man was found dead on Saipan on Sunday.

Police said his body was found in an “advanced state of decomposition” Sunday afternoon behind the RNV snack bar in Garapan.

The witness who called authorities at 12:41 p.m. said they last saw the individual four days ago and found him when they returned to the area for work. Authorities said there are no signs of foul play at this time.

CNMI Department of Public Safety has yet to identify the man, who people in the area say went by Ernie. They are seeking the community’s help to identify him.
