Twenty-eight days until the November 5th General Election.

Tonight, the race to watch between delegate candidates James Moylan, the incumbent, and Ginger Cruz takes center stage for the KUAM News 2024 Congressional Debate.

"This debate will be a vital platform for our people of Guam as they make their way to the polls this general election,” said KUAM News Director Joan Aguon Charfauros.

Candidate Ginger Cruz and incumbent James Moylan will participate in a 90-minute debate from inside the encore theater at the crowne plaza resort in Tumon.

A pivotal moment in this year’s election season as the two prominent candidates present their visions for Guam's future.

"Critical information about both candidates especially for those who are still on the fence about who they want to vote for,” said Charfauros.

The debate will provide an opportunity for voters to hear directly from Cruz and Moylan on critical issues facing the territory, including economic development, healthcare, education, and Guam's relationship with the federal government.

"It's important that they watch because especially if they are not informed this is critical especially with so many days left until the general election. This will help them decide who to vote for as they head into the election polls,” she added.

Both candidates will answer a series of questions posed by the moderator and community organizations, and there will be a chance for rebuttals and direct exchanges between the candidates.

Watch the congressional debates live on KUAM-TV8 and streaming Peacock and on KUAM’s social media platforms, including Facebook and YouTube.
