Congressional delegation makes brief stopover in Guam

A group of U.S. senators and representatives made a brief stop over on Andersen Air Force Base. 

Guam Delegate James Moylan, who is seeking re-election, welcomed the congressional delegation led by Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia on Wednesday. 

The group also included Senator Lisa Murkowski and representatives Greg Pence of Indiana and Wiley Nickel of North Carolina.

The group had a briefing with the Joint Region Marianas discussing the recent test missile launched by the People's Republic of China into the Pacific Ocean.

Senator Manchin sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Appropriation Committee on military construction.

Senator Murkowski is the ranking member of the Senate Appropriations subcommittee on the interior and sits on the Committee on Natural Resources.
