The man accused in the killing of Ryan Chaco is facing a maximum of 73 years in prison.

Defendant Eithen Mendiola, who is charged with murder, is being held on $200,000 cash bail.

Co-defendant Frank Reyes Jr.’s bail was set at $10,000.

Reyes stands accused of trying to destroy the evidence when he allegedly set Chaco's Dededo home on fire with Chaco's body left inside.

Chaco suffered 14 stab wounds to his neck and chest.

Mendiola contends the stabbing was self-defense.
