The family of the woman hit by a car in Asan early Wednesday morning is asking the community for help.

This comes as Guam police are searching for the driver involved in the hit-and run crash.

The crash happened after 1 a.m. Wednesday along Route 1 Marine Corps Drive at Dead Man's Curve.

Family member Celia Quitugua told KUAM, “My cousin Sheila Babauta is fighting for her life right now. She’s a mom to a 13-year-old boy who needs her more than anything. She was hit and left on the road, alone, and no one deserves that. Sheila didn’t have anyone there to help her in that moment, but we can be there for her now. Please, if you know anything about what happened or who was driving, come forward. We just want justice for Sheila, and your help could make all the difference.”

Sheila was listed in serious and unstable condition at Naval Hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to call Guam police.
